Our Process

A Clear Process Built Around Your Environment

Every engagement begins with the reason the review matters now. TDY IT works with you to understand the business context, build a clear picture of the environment, put risk in context, and determine what deserves attention next.

The scope and pace reflect the systems involved, the questions being answered, and the needs of the business.

Start with curiosity. Build the picture. Leave something useful.

How We Work

Step 1

Start With Curiosity

We begin with why the review matters now, how the environment evolved, what is already known, and what the organization is preparing for next.

Step 2

Build the Picture

We document the systems, applications, accounts, networks, vendors, data flows, dependencies, ownership, technical debt, and existing controls included in scope.

Step 3

Put Risk in Context

We explain what each finding could affect, including security, operations, compliance, recovery, customers, and business priorities.

Step 4

Set Priorities

We work with you to determine what should be addressed, planned, monitored, accepted, transferred, or retired.

Step 5

Leave Something Useful

We provide clear documentation and recommendations that leadership, internal teams, MSPs, and vendors can continue using after the engagement.

The process is consistent, but the scope, depth, and pace are shaped around the environment and the questions the business needs answered.

What You Can Expect

A defined scope

The systems, locations, services, questions, access, participants, and expected deliverables are agreed before detailed work begins.

Read-only discovery where practical

Assessment activities generally begin with documentation, interviews, observation, and read-only access.

Coordination with the right people

TDY IT works with leadership, internal teams, MSPs, vendors, application owners, and other stakeholders relevant to the engagement.

Findings explained as they develop

Important discoveries are discussed in context rather than saved for a final report without explanation.

No automatic changes

Assessment findings do not authorize implementation. Changes are separately scoped, reviewed, coordinated, and approved.

Clear documentation and next steps

The engagement concludes with findings, context, priorities, ownership considerations, and documentation appropriate to the agreed scope.

Working With Your Existing Teams

TDY IT works alongside the people who already know and support the environment. That may include leadership, internal IT, MSPs, application owners, vendors, compliance teams, and operational stakeholders.

Each group may hold a different part of the picture. Bringing those perspectives together helps clarify dependencies, responsibilities, constraints, and the reasons current processes or configurations exist.

TDY IT helps organize that information, identify where decisions are needed, and provide documentation teams can continue using together. Existing relationships and responsibilities remain respected throughout the engagement.

When Findings Lead to Change

An assessment identifies what deserves attention. It does not automatically authorize changes to the environment.

If implementation support is needed, the work is separately scoped based on business impact, technical dependencies, responsible parties, testing needs, maintenance windows, and rollback requirements.

TDY IT can support internal teams and vendors through planning, coordination, implementation, validation, and documentation while keeping decision authority with the organization.

Begin With the Reason You Are Here

You do not need a complete inventory, perfect documentation, or a fully defined scope before reaching out.

Start with what prompted the review and what the business wants to understand. TDY IT will work with you to define an appropriate starting point.
